Welcome home Isabel Jones!
We brought her home today! She and Oliver are getting comfy around each other and playing! I couldn't believe it but she chased him around the living room and then he chased her for a little while. Now they are both snuggled up to me taking a nap!
Even though Oliver is a little jealous, he is curious and concerned when she whines and has already taken to her! I hope that they will be happy companions!

An Incomplete Manifesto for Growth
An Incomple Manifesto for Growth... now that's an ear full... I found this gem of a piece through a link from this wonderful blog (Creative Collage)
So what does this have to do with scrapping? I think it has everything to do with scrapping and creativity! I'm just going to touch on a few of the points - they've been covered elsewhere and I'm nt goinng to repeat them all here (just click on the title to go view the Manifesto yourself.)
Allowing events to change you - growing and changing - don't we all resist this one? Even in our art, I know I do!
If you are working towards a specific outcome you will never go further than that. If you are working on a process (technique) you could soar! I try to always be technique driven. Sometimes I get caught up in the "vision" I have for a layout and those are the layouts that tend to be my worst ones. My best are the ones that I "let happen" I often say that there are no mistakes in scrapping - only happy accidents.
Don't be paralysed on where to begin -
JUST BEGIN!
Why is this so earth shattering?
Free youself of the limitations of being cool! I really like this one because I really don't follow the treand. I may like a product I see orlike a trend and use it, but i follow it because it's trendy. I do my own thing whether it's in style or not. I've never been cool, probably never will be cool - but that's kind of cool - huh?
Creativity often comes when we leave the modern things behind and go back to the "old school" way of doing things. The most prolific example of this is doodeling. It's been around forever. We did it when we didnt' have patterned paper. Now it's called funky and fresh! Hmmmmm.... How about cutters? Many complain about their cutters, great at first, but don't stand the test of time. You know what I use? A metal "T square", glass mat and an Excel blade. Nothing I've found works better, and I've tried them all, literally!
So, after reading the manifesto, what do you think? How does it apply to your life and your scrapping?
